NEPOOL GIS SREC II Account Holders,

Effective the January 2017 vintage and forward, the NEPOOL GIS has revised our implementation of how the GIS carries over fractional eligible MA SREC II data from being aggregated and carried over quarter to quarter, to carrying over the SREC II fractional data month to month.  See the example below:

Project A has a 0.9 SREC II factor

• Jan 2017 meter upload: 1 MWh, or 0.9 SREC II’s
• Feb 2017 meter upload: 1 MWh, or 0.9 SREC II’s
• March 2017 meter upload: 1 MWh, or 0.9 SREC II’s

In this example January would issue 0 SRECs (0.9 Jan eligible quantity = 0 SRECs; 0.9 is carried over to Feb). February would issue 1 SREC (0.9 Jan remainder + 0.9 Feb eligible quantity = 1.8 SRECs; 1 SREC issues and 0.8 is carried over to the March). March would issue 1 SREC (0.8 Feb remainder + 0.9 March eligible quantity = 1.7 SRECs; 1 SREC issues and 0.7 is carried over to April)
